Jean Michel Cousteau (Home at Last 1995), Jon Krakauer, Sean Penn and Jo Berlinger (Iconoclasts 2007) and a host of other award winning writers, directors, producers and directors of photography. Spence continues to work on international and domestic productions for clients including National Geographic, History Channel, Discovery Channel, PBS and many more.

Recognition

Spence’s production sound work has included Emmy Award winning projects, (Discovery Channel’s “Eco-Challenge Morocco” 1998) and the Oscar nominated “Final Inch” (2009). Recently Spence has also received recognition for his writing/directing/camera and editing skills for the 2009 environmental film, “Columbia at the Crossroads”, winning Best Alternative Energy Film at the 2009 Santa Cruz Film Festival, Best Documentary Film, Astoria International Film Festival and was an Official Selection of the Wild and Scenic environmental Film Festival in 2009. Spence has also served on the judge’s panel at the prestigious Mountain Film Festival in Telluride, Colorado and the Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Nevada City, CA.
